On 24th February 2016 the Institute was visited by the delegation from the Zhejiang Province in the People’s Republic of China. The delegation was presided by prof. Visit of the delegation from the Republic of Adjara

On 3rd December 2014 the Institute was visited by the delegation from the Republic of Adjara, an autonomous republic of Georgia. Representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Adjara, Agro Service Center and Adjara TV were members of this delegation and Ioseb Abuladze, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Adjara, was the head of this delegation. The purpose of the visit in the Institute was to become familiar with the fields of research conducted in the Institute and sources and methods of collecting data on socio-economic situation in the agriculture and rural areas.

International Conference IAFE-NRI in Józefów

On 26-28 November 2014, an international scientific conference entitled "The CAP and competitiveness of the Polish and European food sectors" was held in Holiday Inn hotel in Józefów, near Warsaw. The conference summed up the four-year research conducted under the Multi-Annual Programme "The competitiveness of the Polish food economy in the conditions of globalisation and European integration". The event was organised by the Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics - National Research Institute.

Order of Polonia Restituta conferred on professor Andrzej Kowalski

President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Bronisław Komorowski on June 26, 2014 honoured professor Andrzej Kowalski, Director of the IAFE-NRI, with the Knight's Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta. Professor Andrzej Kowalski was decorated in recognition of achievements in research and teaching for the development of agriculture and rural areas in Poland. The Order of Polonia Restituta (Polish: Order Odrodzenia Polski) was established in 1921 and is one of Poland's highest Orders.

IAFE-NRI in cooperation with Research Institute of Agricultural Economics (Agrárgazdasági Kutató Intézet - AKI) w Budapest, Hungary, developed comprehensive, comparative analysis of the Hungarian and Polish food sectors during the period of adaptation to the single European market. The aim of the study was to draw conclusions that would be useful for research, business practice and for the desing of future agricultural policies.
