Research workshop "Selected theoretical and empirical problems of agricultural finance in Poland" for Ukrainian economists

Dr. Michał Soliwoda (Department of Agricultural Finance at Institute of Agricultural and Food Economics – National Research Institute, IAFE-NRI)   conducted the research workshop  that included a scientific seminar entitled  “Selected theoretical and empirical problems of agricultural finance in Poland” on October 9, 2018 at  IAFE-NRI. Dr Serhiy Zabolotnyy (Warsaw University of Life Sciences – SGGW,  Faculty of Economic Sciences, Department of Finance), as well as researchers from Ukraine: Dr hab. Volodymyr Rudyk, Dr hab. Inna Tsvihun (State Agrarian and Engineering University in Podilya) and  Dr Olena  Bohdaniuk, Dr Inna Dolhzenko, (National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine) attended that seminar. Dr. Michał Soliwoda presented key problems from the perspective of development of Polish agriculture in the context of financing and risk management. Researchers strongly  debated  about financing  rural municipalities and comparison of  features in agricultural policies between Poland and Ukraine, current state of agriculture in Ukraine,  issues related crediting,  taxation, insurance, as well as evaluation of state support for agricultural and rural development. Scientists from Ukraine were interested in the issues of sustainable financially development of agribusiness in Poland; agricultural support programs of Poland in the context of its financial security and long-term sustainability. The aforesaid financial workshop was fruitful from perspectives of further bilateral cooperation.
